Shades of Honor - Guild Charter
Herein you will find the rules & regulations that govern the Shades of Honor. A combination of years of raiding experience along with a definitive vision on the direction we wish the guild to progress towards has resulted in the rules and practices detailed below.
Raid Schedule:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 8:00pm - 11:00pm EST
Sunday - 6:00pm - 11:00pm EST
*invites begin 30 minutes prior to the scheduled raid start time, first pull commences at 8:00pm (6:00pm Sundays) sharp!
Attendance rules:
All guild members are expected to maintain the minimum attendance requirements detailed below. Special considerations may be made on a pre-arranged case-by-case basis. A DKP bonus (detailed below) will be provided to those raiding members that successfully maintain their required attendance levels.
Officers: 90%
Members: 80%
Initiates: 100%
In addition to being available and on time during scheduled raid nights, another important factor is having all the necessary consumables on hand for whatever raiding content is scheduled. This includes having a full supply of healing/mana potions, bandages, weapon oils/stones, buff food, flasks/elixirs & any class specific reagents.
Those individuals who are not selected to join the initial raid for the evening will be placed into a stand-by pool. Guild members on stand-by status may do whatever they wish during this time as long as they are able to be contacted & summoned to the raid immediately upon being called in.
Any initiates or members that will be late or absent from a scheduled raid night must make a post in the Attendence Notifications section of the guild forums.
DKP system:
Shades of Honor uses a open bid DKP system. This means that when an item drops, raid members will be asked if they wish to bid on the item. Those wishing to bid will send a tell to the Loot Master with a DKP value they wish to spend on said item (bids may not exceed the members DKP value currently shown on the guild web site). The highest bid will be announced to the raid and members will have a chance to raise the bid. Once it appears that the final bid has been settled the item will be awarded to the highest bidder & the price will be deducted from their total DKP. The minimum bid for any item is 50 DKP main spec, 25 DKP off spec.
DKP will be awarded for the following events:
- On time bonus = 1 DKP
- One month minimum attendance maintained = 5 DKP
- New content boss attempts = 1 DKP per hour
- Standard boss kill = 5 DKP
- One-shot boss kill = 10 DKP
- First time boss kill = 20 DKP
**All guild members in the raid or on stand-by will be awarded equivalent point values per event.
The order of priority for all bids before DKP is considered will be as follows:
Member Main Spec > Initiate Main Spec > Member Off Spec > Initiate Off spec
If no raid member bids on an item it will be disenchanted and placed in the guild vault along with all instance specific tokens (such as Mark of the Illidari or Hearts of Darkness) for future use.
**Please note that on extremely rare occasions the guild officers may elect to override the DKP system and present an item to a key guild member if it is deemed to be in the best interests of the guild. **
Recruitment process:
Potential applicants will be required to fill out the application form found on the guild web site. The recruitment officer will then post the application for review by guild members.
If selected to join the guild applicants must maintain a 100% raid attendance ratio throughout their initiate stage of the recruitment process to be considered for full membership. Special considerations may be made on a pre-arranged case-by-case basis.
Once a full month has passed the initiate's application will be brought up for review for full membership to the guild. The officers will examine the initiate's raid performance, attendance, preparedness & personality over the course of the month.
All full members of the guild will be asked to vote if an applicant is acceptable to become a full member of the guild or not. A minimum vote of 75% approval is required to successfully pass and be allowed to join the guild as a full member.
If either the officer or member vote is not successfully, the recruitment officer will inform the applicant and steps will be taken to either rectify any areas of concern or they will be asked to leave the guild.
Guild Officers:
It is important to note that being an officer in Shades of Honor entails more than just a position of status or influence. A great deal of responsibility is required of the officer core within the guild! Being an officer is both an honor and a privilege that is not to be taken lightly.
